The Play that goes wrong- Showing at Duchess Theatre

Following a triumphal six-month international tour and a Best New Comedy win at the What’s On Stage Awards 2014, The Play That Goes Wrong is now enjoying an extended run at the West End’s Duchess Theatre. 
The Play That Goes Wrong is a side-splitting farce about an amateur drama society’s attempts to stage a 1920s murder mystery play. The group of hapless thespians and backstage crew battle fudged lines, crumbling sets and disappearing props as they claw their way desperately to the final curtain call.

The play that goes wrong started playing at the Duchess Theatre in 2014 and is still playing there now.

The Girls makes its West End premiere at the Phoenix Theatre. Based on the true story, film and stage play of Calendar Girls, this new musical comedy features original music by Gary Barlow and lyrics by Tim Firth, who wrote the original screenplay and West End play. The production follows the real life story of a Women’s Institute group who decide to fund-raise for a local hospital by posing nude for a calendar and inadvertently become media sensations. A new revival of the classic Broadway musical 42nd Street will officially open in London's West End on 4th April 2017, following previews from 20th March. After originally opening on Broadway in 1980 produced by David Merrick and directed by Gower Champion, the musical won the Tony Award for Best Musical and ran for 3,486 performances to January 1989. A West End production opened at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 8 August 1984 starring Catherine Zeta Jones and went on to win the Olivier Award for Best Musical.

Stepping Out follows eight individuals from a mix of backgrounds who find themselves together in a North London church hall for a weekly tap dancing class. Whilst they begin the class for a variety of reasons, their motivations develop as we begin to meet each of the characters. Many begin the class with a lack of coordination and skill but as the weeks develop they each begin to master the basics, leading to a performance at a charity gala. The group continue to tap their troubles away and their distinct personalities begin to shine through, creating a funny and heart-warming comedy.
